![]() The 4x4 model has got Electronic Shift on fly Borg Warner transfer case 4x4 Mechanism with a Limited Slip Differential. The layout arrangement is longitudinal front engine rear wheel drive and longitudinal front engine 4 wheel drive with a transfer case. There is a choice of two drive trims being offered 4X2 (LX, EX, VX) and 4X4 (VX). The power output produced by engine is 140bhp at 4000rpm and torque figures are 320nm at 1700-2700rpm controlled by a 32bit processor. The Engine is having high inertia Fly wheel to reduce vibration and noise at higher RPM. Storm is powered by all new 2.2 liter, 16 valves DOHC Common Rail Direct injection diesel Engine named VARICOR with Variable Turbine Technology (VTT) and new G76 MarkII 5-speed Gearbox. The seats are fabric and offer adequate support in the right areas. The SUV gets 3 way adjustable lumber supports for the front seat and a two-step inclining 60:40 2nd row seats and 3rd row foldable jump seats. The dual tone interior adds to the cabin appearance neat, bigger and airy with roof mounted AC vents. In terms of cabin space, the STORM offers ample legroom and headroom for all passengers. The centre console also went swept past the front seats, and has got AC vents for 2nd row passengers and a mobile charging point. The instrument console also houses switches for AC, a cigarette lighter and a Drive Selector Knob (VX) for 4H, 4L and 2L drive settings. The easy-to-read dial’s cluster is covered in black rims. The instrument cluster is larger than previous model analogue dials with bright white illumination. The steering and gear knob also follows the same pattern of dual combination respective of their trims. Seats are fabric coloured in beige (VX) and gray (LX, EX). Dual tone predominant beige and wooden with deco finisher finish on the dashboard, centre console and door panels on VX top end model and dual tone black and silver on LX and EX models. The interiors of the Storm have been upgraded from the previous model. New twin chrome plated exhaust is suitably placed in the rear black and body colour split bumper gives the SUV a sporty feel. The most eye grabbing part is the new Black rear door moulding which says about car name and trim and is also underlined by a chrome strip which has TATA engraved on it. Moving on to rear, it has been completely redesigned and has got spectacular new view, the first noticeable change is removal of spare wheel from back and has been tucked under C cabin. The side view of the car is not much changed from its previous model, the notable changes present are the wheel arches has gone bolder, similarly side door mouldings.
